The purpose of this paper is to investigate the limits of English-learning software utilizing speech recognition technology. At first, this paper examines the main concept of speech technology focusing on ASR(Automation Speech Recognition). Then, an introduction of the limits of the existing English-learning software utilizing speech recognition follows. Finally, this paper provides the information regarding the main function of English-learning software equipped with ASR which learners need to consider when they choose software: such as the accuracy, sensitivity, length of response time, and etc.. |
