Abstract

The purpose of the research was to define the role of iconic media in English comprehension and expression. In order to maximize the educational effects of iconic media in the classroom environment, their role was analyzed using the construction-integration theory of Kintsch (1992). The effective applications of the role of iconic media for educational purposes were suggested based on the three levels of the construction-integration theory.
