Abstract
This study focuses on interactive group work for improving listening comprehension and suggests a kind of model for a listening class through cooperative learning. A movie (The Accidental Husband) is used for listening class and QR code in a smart phone for a cooperative activity, which encourages students to concentrate on listening tasks. The use of QR code is very efficient in handling a large class skillfully. QR code is used to get students to work together to deal with listening comprehension questions. A QR code is a two-dimensional matrix code which is readable on a smart phone, a tablet computer, a mobile phone with camera or a QR scanner. When you scan a QR code you can connect directly to a website and obtain text messages or information from it. A teacher can create a QR code including information on how to learn listening skills which help students concentrate on group work to carry out a listening activity. Students offer their opinions and share information on how to approach listening comprehension questions. The use of QR code is definitely an effective way to support interactive activity for interesting listening classes. It is also helpful for maintaining student motivation and interest in learning.
